Cinzia Peraro, Ph.D., is a junior researcher in European Union Law at the University of Verona and holds a teaching course on European Integration Law at UniverMantova.

Her main areas of research relate to European Union Law, with specific regard to the internal market, the protection of fundamental rights and related procedural aspects, including collective redress.

She collaborates in the implementation of European projects, especially regarding EU family law and private international law issues, and at local level in projects concerning creative industries, as well as in the organization of events and tutoring activities. She spent research periods at the University of Minho (Portugal), the Max Planck Institute Luxembourg, The Hague (attending The Hague Academy Summer courses on private international law) and the European Parliament (as trainee at the Legal Affairs Committee).

She has taken part in various conferences as speaker and published articles on the protection of fundamental rights, some specifically on workers’ rights, and on family matters. She is a member of the editorial board of Papers di diritto europeo and collaborated in the editing of Commentario breve ai Trattati dell’Unione europea, 2nd ed., 2014 (directed by Prof. Fausto Pocar and Prof Maria Caterina Baruffi). She is a member of the associations SIDI-ISIL, AISDUE and EAPIL. Since 2016 she is also a lawyer at the Bar Association of Verona.
